Johnson Brothers "Old Britain Castles Blue" and White Barrel Shaped Bowl/Votive is a sweet addition to your table, counter top or anywhere you'd like a place to put cotton balls, a voitve, or even snacks. Since it is marked dishwasher safe it safe to say this piece was manufactured anywhere from late 1960s-2003. 

Founded in 1883, Johnson Brothers became famous for their semi-porcelain wares, including the beloved Old Britain Castles pattern. In 1968, the company joined Wedgwood's group and relocated production to China, leaving many British employees jobless. The factory was eventually demolished. Production of Old Britain Castles items lasted from 1930 to 2003.
