Murano Sommerso Amethyst Art Glass Vase

One-of-a-kind amethyst-colored vase from Murano. This handcrafted beauty was made at an art studio with the Sommerso technique developed in the 1930s. Flavio Poli made a name for himself using this method. The Mandruzzato family and Seguso Vetri d'Arte in the 1950s helped spread its popularity. Not just for vases, this process is also used for sculptures.
